So...a little about me...

Born in Wise County, Virginia, of English, Scotch Irish and Cherokee heritage, to a family of coal miners. and yes they still do that there in the mountains. and if my dad was still with us, i'm sure that is what he would be still be doing. i'm proud to be the son of a coal miner.

I grew up in Greenville, South Carolina where I currently reside.
I started playing Bass in 1992 at the age of 13-14.
I attended Travelers Rest High School and during that time i was privileged
enough to be accepted to the Fine Arts Center. I attended the Fine arts Center Jazz Program, for Two Years.

After years of playing in several bands in the Greenville area,
I moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 2001, to attend the Atlanta Institute of Music and further my musical education.
Upon Graduating I played the regional SouthEast and Atlanta area
with many different bands, playing thousands of gigs and  making several television appearances.

After spending  2001 to 2006 in Atlanta, i grew tired of the traffic and rat race and decided to move back to my hometown of Greenville, South Carolina.

I am also engaged to a wonderful woman that never lets life become a bore. There is always something new on the horizon. We enjoy camping and taking trips and caring for our animals. She has 3 cats that are part of our animal menagerie. (did have 3 cats, one has since gone missing. we miss you itty). So all together we have Marcy, Alfy, Fred, and Stubby. Sadly i have to update that our Stubby has passed away. He was diagnosed with cancer last december. His tumor was removed once but became inoperable after that. It was a wonderfull year that we had with him until oct 31, 2011. He was 9 years old and a blessing to have had for those years. Anyone that has ever lost a pet will understand the difficulty readjusting after they are "there" everyday when you come hom from work or when you wake up. We miss him, and i urge everyone everywhere to treasure the time you have, with all that you hold dear, for it may be gone before you realize it.

We still haven't figured out how to get the dogs and cats to relate to each other...yet! Once we do we will put them all in one place and see what happens! 2011 looks to be a  good candidate.

I also have a superbad, bestest, doggie friend named Marcy. She's a 11 year old Rottweiler, and truly the pinnacle of socialization and how to raise a large breed that is everything you want in a protector but well behaved and kid friendly. i got her while i lived in Atlanta, when she was found wandering in a neighborhood at around one year old. I responded to a rescue add and my life was forever changed for the better.

I also have a new canine addition to my pack; Alfy. Wow is all i can say. He is a handful. I love him to death though. Poor thing wasn't being cared for as a puppy so he ended up with me. I wouldn't know what to do without him though. He and Marcy are best buds.

I also have quite a few hobbies including but not limited to: photography, video games ( I am a Sony Loyalist ) as well as a "PC" , astronomy, and tons of miscellaneous computer geeky stuff like networking, Graphic and Web Design, Digital Art, Animation, and the list goes on, but Bass and Music are the core staples.

So that was a brief description of the personal side of my life. Now i will fill in the blanks of my playing and talk a little about what i've done musically. Even though my dreams haven't reached their peak, there are things i've done up to this point that i'm sort of proud of.
I have played a lot of gigs in my short 33 years. I'm proud of that. Was i always the best i could be in musical and personal situations...well no... and i apologize. However; i have learned many, many lessons along the way and i still do, on a daily basis. it's isnt those that run the race that win the prize...it's those that finish.
